We have been blessed enough to be able to give back to the people and communities that were there for us when we needed them. Here are some of their stories.
Words cannot express how thankful we are for all the help you have given to our family. Your generosity is overwhelming and means more than you’ll ever know.
May God bless you all!
Deanna Gingerich and family (family of Carolyn Vaughn)
Thank you, for once again, being by our side and helping us with your generosity during my (2nd) hip surgery. TBF has been our Angels on earth, and we can't thank you, and the generous sponsors, enough for your help. I am looking at another 4 months + of physical therapy, once again!.
May God bless you all.

I would like to thank The Travis Burkhart Foundation for the generosity towards my wife and I!

Last year I participated in the first annual TBF Ride For Recovery. My plan was and is to ride in it again this year. Sometimes, in the blink of an eye, plans are interrupted. Life is turned upside down and changed forever.
When I rode in the ride last year, I thought I was just going on a charity motorcycle ride to help other families. I was wrong. 36 hours prior to this post, my daughter Amber Wadsworth was in a horrible car accident in Washington. Now we have become "that other family", Amber has some very serious injuries. Broken bones. Head trauma. Internal injuries. I have spoken with Mike Burkhart a couple of times since the accident for advice on what to watch for and words of encouragement. Amber's condition on the day of the ride will determine whether I will or can participate this year. I have a lot of biker friends that I'm going to challenge to make this ride. Please guys. Ride with us. You never know when you might become "that other family". It can happen to you as it has the Burkhart family and now mine. Don't take for granted when you blink that everything will be the same at the end of the blink as it was when it started.
Ride with us please~~Wesley Jones
Last September I went to the St. Louis Cardinal game to help support the Travis Burkhart Foundation My husband and I had also helped with the 5k run the previous year. We always liked to help others if we could. It was really a big thing for my husband to complete the walk as he is disabled and has a lot of trouble walking very far. But he was determined to do it and he even got people to sponsor him and raised more money for the Travis Burkhart Foundation. We never dreamed we'd ever need help from them in a million years. Well we were wrong. Last November doctors found that I had a tumor rapped around my spinal cord. It was benign but it still had to be removed if I wanted to continue walking. Long story short, because of complications I had to have 3 surgeries on my spinal cord in 3 weeks. I also had to learn to walk again. The hospital I was at was a 2 hour drive from our home. Between my hospital stay and my rehabilitation, I was there almost 3 months. The Travis Burkhart Foundation helped us on 2 different occasions. They came to visit me and Ed Sellers as we were both at the same Rehab facility. They gave us gas cards which helped my husband make his numerous trips there. They also gave us gift cards to places to eat along with cash. This helped us so much, we can never thank them enough! They helped make our stay there a little easier. THANK YOU! So anytime that you can help support this caring organization, please do so! You never know who they may help next.

Words cannot express my gratitude for your support while I was in the hospital. The money helped complete my wheelchair ramp and the gas cards helped my wife be able to come see my more. Those were both deeply meaningful to me during my recovery. I am grateful that your organization exists to provide hope during these trying times. I cannot thank you enough for the support that you gave us. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.----Justin Phillips
Thank you so much! I can't tell you how much I appreciate it!

Thank you so much for the generous gift you gave to Nakia and I and our families. Your kindness made it possible for our families to be able to attend our surgeries and allowed us to not worry about finances during that time. I appreciate the beautiful message your foundation offers. It's through God's love, prayers, love and the support or our compassionate community that I am well and able to offer my humble gratitude.

Thank you so much Travis Burkhart Foundation for the iPad you presented to my sweet grandson, Rashad. Lord be with you.--Kim Crowley
HELLO! FIRST, I WANT TO SAY WHAT A BLESSING YOU WERE TO ME AND MY FAMILY DURING A TIME OF NEED FOR US THAT CAME SO UNEXPECTEDLY. OUR FAMILY ENDURED A MONTH OF TESTS, THE UNKNOWN, THE LOSS OF A DEAR LOVED ONE, AND A PROCEDURE THAT WAS VERY FRIGHTENING FOR ME. I WAS SEPARATED FROM MY BABY FOR PERIODS OF TIME. THIS ALL WAS ENOUGH STRESS FOR A PERSON. WHEN WE FOUND OUT WE WOULD HAVE TO BE MAKING THE 7 HOUR TRIP BACK TO CLEVELAND TO GO THROUGH A TIMELY PROCEDURE ON MY HEART, YOUR ASSISTANCE WAS A BLESSING AND A STRESS RELIEVER. WE DID NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE COST OF A HOTEL, GAS, OR FOOD. ALL THINGS THAT CAN GET VERY EXPENSIVE WHEN YOU ARE AWAY FROM HOME FOR PERIODS OF TIME. I CAN'T SAY THANK YOU ENOUGH. YOUR FAMILY CONTINUES TO BE IN MY PRAYERS.
--KINDRA HOVIS
Our family wanted to say THANK YOU for your gift!

I can't tell you how much Lauren and I appreciate your generous gift! Your kindness touched our hearts and provided an amazing blessing just when we needed it. Thank you so much for being Christ's hands and feet and for turning your tragedy into victory for so many people! "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35 (RSV)

Leah and I would like to thank the Travis Burkhart Foundation for the monetary support and prayers during her long battle with breast cancer. We have been down some rough roads and traveled many miles during these trying times and we continue to be overwhelmed by our Christian friends and family who have prayed and supported us through it all. We wouldn't have made it this far without you!
---Kevin and Leah Wade
Thank You! We were pleasantly surprised by the check from TBF. It will be used for fuel expenses.
----Polly Lawyer and family
Thank you for the donation of money to our family. It will be used for traveling expenses during this time of illness.
----Brian & Ann Jackson
Thank you so very much for thinking of my family and for generously donating to help us pay my medical bills as I continue physical therapy and undergo another surgery. My accident, injuries and rehab seem minor in comparison to all that Travis and your family has been through, but for me and my family, it has been a life changing experience. Travis has been an inspiration to me during my rehab and recovery which has been slow but steady. I cling to one of my favorite Bible verses, Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose." We have experienced God's goodness through expressions of His love from the Body of Christ.
With gratitude and appreciation---Dawn Holland and family
A special thank you to the Travis Burkhart Foundation for the gift of an iPad to our grandson Cameron. Just want you to know how much we appreciate all you do.
