Today I would like to tell you guys about a very special person near and dear to my heart. I came into the TBF as a high school intern, eager to learn about marketing and social media. When I met Travis I could not help but to smile. He may have the most contagious smile I have ever seen. Travis has a great heart and is very involved with his family. I couldn't wish what the Burkhart's have been through to any family, although it is truly inspirational seeing how close it has brought them!

Andrew Watkins-WHS Intern
Jason Omer - Board Member
Jason graduated from Barr-Reeve HS in 1988. He then attended USI for 3 years before attending Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan in 1994. Jason has been married to Leslie Starr-Omer for 24 years and they have one daughter, Brynna, age 13. Jason and Leslie have owned and operated Omer Chiropractic Lifestyle Center in Washington, IN since 1995.
"It has been an absolute honor to serve on the TBF board. The best part is hearing about the tremendous impact the contributions have on the recipients' lives. If the foundation is able to bring a little more hope to someone facing a difficult medical situation, then we have lived out our mission."

Jennifer Hadlock - Board Member
Graduated Vincennes Lincoln High School 1998. Currently live in Bicknell with husband Chris and daughter Kaylee. Director of Guardian Angel Personal Services.
I joined the Travis Burkhart Foundation in 20?? (I don’t remember what year) to share in the mission of helping individuals and families in our local communities in their time of need.
Kim Burkhart - Secretary
Kim graduated from Washington High School in 1981. She has been married to Mike for 40 years. Together they have raised four children. Ryan, Travis, Evan and Jenae. We have been blessed with two bonus daughters Katie and Allison. Also have three amazing grandchildren.

"After Travis' accident we were loved on so well by our community that we felt God moving us to do the same for those who would experience a tragedy in their life. If we had not had the support we did I am not sure how we would have made it through"
Tyler Seibert - IPP
Tyler graduated from Washington high school in 2013, attended Greenville College till 2015, then attended Vincennes University till 2017. He currently lives in Washington with his wife Kayla. Tyler works for anytime fitness.
“I joined the Travis Burkhart Foundation board to be a part of an organization that provides help, support, and friendship to those who need it. The Travis Burkhart Foundation has provided help to people in my life and I felt it was time to start giving back to others.
Mike Burkhart - Treasurer
Graduated from North Daviess in 1979. Mike married Kimberly Padgett in 1982. Mike and Kim have 4 great children Ryan 39, Travis 37, Evan 33 and Jenae 31. Mike is self employed and over the years has served on several Community organizations from School Board to Frank Roberts Youth league, coaching, and several farm organizations. He has dedicated his time and talents to serving those in his community. The Travis Burkhart Foundation was started based upon Love your neighbor as yourself, after Trav's accident Mike and Family were helped by so many gracious and loving people that it only seemed natural to give back to those in need in a time of serious nature in their family. Our family attends Bethany Christian Church.
KATIE BICKETT - BURKHART - BOARD MEMBER
Katie is originally from southern Illinois and is a graduate from University of Southern Indiana and University of Louisville. She has been a regular volunteer of TBF events since 2013 and has enjoyed getting to know the local community. She currently lives in Indianapolis with her spouse, Evan, and their dog, Gertrude, and works in the Analytics Department at Community Health Network.
“I joined the board of the Travis Burkhart Foundation in 2021 and I am always amazed at the help and support this foundation has received over the years. To be able to make a positive impact on those in the local community has been a humbling and rewarding experience.”

Graduated from North Daviess High School. Has lived in Plainville his entire life, 36 years. Single and currently working on getting better.

Duncan Myers - VICE PRESIDENT
Duncan graduated from North Daviess, and now resides in Elnora.
He is married to Paula Myers, and they have three children; Adam, Aaron, and Michelle. Duncan is Self employed, Duncan New Media Solutions, digital advertising agency. Also part time Alpine Ski Instructor at Paoli Peaks. They attend Odon Christian Church, church deacon and praise team singer. Duncan wanted to use his experiences from having two children with disabilities and subsequent hospitalizations etc. to share with the board. He is the competitions director for Special Olympics Indiana for their winter games each January.

"I am Travis's sister! I've been apart of the TBF Foundation Board since it started! I love being able to help the community in ways that they helped us in our time of need! I currently work at NSWC Crane. (Jenae Burkhart).
Dave Brown - Board Member
A 1985 graduate from Washington high school. Currently employed with the Indiana Department of Transportation for the past 33 years. Married to my lovely wife Dee Brown for 3 years we have three beautiful daughters, Rushea’ , Alexis, and Gretchen and our Beautiful Granddaughter Sutton. It has been a true Blessing to be part of the Travis Burkhart foundation.
"I have been a proud member of the Travis Burkhart Foundation for several years. One reason why I enjoy it so much is because my daughters were both born premature at the time of their birth there were no organizations or foundations that I could reach out to to help with the cost of gas and other expenses we endured during that time. I feel very privileged to serve on such a board that helps so many people in their time of need. I have been there and it touches my heart to be a part of such a great foundation that strives to help!"
